Health & Safety Tips - Make a Resolution to be Safe

Be Safe, Not Sorry

It's that time of year when so many of us make resolutions toward living a healthier life. How about a safer daily life? As we age, slips and falls happen more often due to a number of factors including declining eyesight and hearing, joint mobility and balance issues, and dizziness caused by some medications. It's easy to slip on a wet floor in the bathroom or outside on a wet sidewalk. Stairs without railings can be hazardous, too. And don't get me started about step stools and ladders! A fall can change everything including impacting our independence and ability to live life on our terms.

It's also Bath Safety Month - a great time to assess your bathrooms for safety. Do you remember that your Electronic Caregiver wrist/neck pendant is designed to be worn in the shower? Wearing it 24/7 means that if you get into any trouble, help is just a push of a button away. Summoning help immediately can be life saving!
